On November 20th, Private Kindergardeners from Primrose Lakewood Ranch went on a grocery shopping spree to Publix. During the month of November, the school has been working hard toward their “Helping Hands Event, Can-A-Thon”!! Children ages 3 through 7 conducted age-appropriated chores at home to earn small amounts of money to buy canned and non-perishable goods to contribute to the Community Coalition on Homelessness inManatee County. The Kindergarten class collectively earned a total of $78.00, which means 18 children earned approximately $4.28 per child conducting chores. Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch Town Center as a school, matched twice the amount the children earned to demonstrate an appreciation of their hard work and diligent efforts. As a school in total, they collected in excess of three hundred food items that will benefit the Community Coalition on Homelessness serving thousands of men, woman, families and children in Manatee County.
These Primrose children are to be commended for their heroic efforts!
Thank you so much!
